Seven years! We managed seven years without a SCARY MOVIE, but now it’s back with SCARY MOVIE 5. Charliee Sheen in said to be returning despite getting killed, and Lindsay Lohan will (and should) accept anything at the moment. Since SCARY MOVIE 4 we’ve had to endure the cinematic abortions that were DISASTER MOVIE, MEET THE SPARTANS and EPIC MOVIE, so this may actually seem like comedic gold after those. I think it would be a lot funnier, more interesting, and probably cheaper to just film Lohan and Sheen out on a crazy drug/alcohol fueled night of self-destruction and debauchery. I’d like to hazard a guess as to what films this will be spoofing. However, they kind of lost their way as far as parodying horror films is concerned. The ‘Scary’ part of the title just refers to the thought of actually watching it.
SCARY MOVIE 5 will hit theatres 19th April 2013. It stars Ashley Tisdale, Lindsay Lohan, and Charlie Sheen.
