She’s off the market! Natalie Portman has wed her BLACK SWAN choreographer, Benjamin Millepied, a name that I can’t help but pronounce ‘millipede’ and makes me pray she’ll keep her maiden name. The pair tied the knot in a reportedly evening Jewish ceremony in a private residence, along with friends and family, on the central California coast. This was after a two-year engagement and 14 months after the birth of their son Aleph. Sweet innit.
The pair met in 2009, while Millepied (you’re saying millipede in your head, right?) was whipping Portman into shape, evidently in more ways than one, for the 2010 Darren Aronofsky balletic mind-mess, BLACK SWAN. The role landed Portman both her first Golden Globe and Academy Award. He must have been doing something right! When receiving her Golden Globe, the knocked-up Portman spouted this little gem to the crowd…
“Benjamin choreographed the film, and also you might remember him in the movie as the guy when they ask, ‘Would you sleep with that girl?’ And he’s like, ‘Pffsh, no.’ He’s the best actor. It’s not true: He totally wants to sleep with me!”
