Elizabeth Olsen is continuing to prove she is Hollywood hot property, after the success of MARTHA, MARCY, MAY, MARLENE and SILENT HOUSE. This time around she starring in LIBERAL ARTS, opposite HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER veteran Josh Radnor (who also directed the film). You can check out the trailer below.
Radnor features as Jesse, a college graduate not doing a lot with his life. When he receives an invitation to speak at a retirement dinner for an ex-professor, Jesse decides to pack his bags and return to university life. With no potential ‘lady friends’ on the horizon, I guess you could call it fate as he meets Zibby (Olsen), a 19 year-old student who chooses to ignore the age gap. The film tracks their short time together, as Jesse has to face up to the fact he’s 35 and not going anywhere. Co-stars include Richard Jenkins, Allison Janney, Elizabeth Reaser and Zac Efron.
Like many of the trailers we’ve been reporting on recently, LIBERAL ARTS premiered at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. But unlike some of the other trailers, this one didn’t give me goosebumps. I really enjoy Olsen’s work, but I’m just not a fan of the whole ‘man-child’ genre. However, I’ll give it a go when it’s released. Take a look at the trailer and let us know what you think.
