Justin Theroux Makes Ferrell And Carell ‘Swear To God’

Actor, writer, and director Justin Theroux has been given the task of rewriting and directing the Steve Carell and Will Ferrell comedy SWEAR TO GOD by Warner Bros. The hope is to start production next July, a long way off, but Warner Bros. have to wait for Ferrell to finish filming ANCHORMAN 2. Ferrell will play a hedge fund manager that believes he has seen God. A man that believes he has seen God in charge of a lot of people’s money? Sounds wacky!

Theroux was one of the stars of David Lynch’s MULHOLLAND DRIVE (2001), he wrote IRON MAN 2 (2010) and TROPIC THUNDER (2008) and directed the under-seen romantic comedy drama DEDICATION (2007) and is looking to co-write and direct ZOOLANDER 2. He is also the cousin of the wonderful Louis Theroux and dates Jennifer Aniston. A rather diverse but successful career I’d say.
