We may be running our THN Guilty Pleasures season over August, but there’s also the Guilty Pleasures Cinema Party who are gearing up for their event that will be showing Desperately Seeking Susan at the Troxy Cinema. But wait, there’s more because Time Out are running a glorious poll (www.timeout.com/guilty-pleasures), so you can vote for your favourite from a list of 30 over-the-top, fuzzily heartwarming, overly emotional and downright fun guilty pleasure films in the history of cinema. Plus, the winning one will be played at the next Guilty Pleasures Cinema Party, coming soon!
The Top 30 have been chosen by Guilty Pleasures expert Sean Rowley, alongside Time Out and MGM HD and the winner of it will be announced on August 20th, so get those votes in by scrolling down to the official poll, just below.
In the meantime, we’re giving awaytwo pairs of tickets for Saturday August 25th Guilty Pleasures Cinema Party! Each night is sure to be spectacular, so get your gladrags on for a full six hours of pop playtime: singing, dancing, fancy dress, games, dance-offs, live bands, DJs and a movie, all on the same night!
They’re promising the dizzy heights of NYC disco, hot trash and free-spirited sass. On each night Guilty Pleasures will be hosting an ‘80s disco, with go-go dancers, top London cabaret performers, “Many Madonnas” bad looka-likes, magic acts, dressing up boxes and photo booths. Plus Guilty Pleasures themed food and cocktails served all night. Fancy dress positively encouraged!
