They may have shared a scene in THE EXPENDABLES and have more planned with THE EXPENDABLES 2, but what we really want is Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger both in lead roles. That’s exactly what we’ll get in next years THE TOMB, and we have the first still of them together. Stallone plays a structural engineer frame for murder and incarcerated in a prison specifically set aside for aging action stars. Schwarzenegger plays his cellmate. They’ll also go up against the corrupt warden played by Jim Caviezel.
I’m excited to see this action version of THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION (1994). In fact, I would have called it The Raw-TANK Redemption and had a scene with a tank or something. The still shows Schwarzenegger and Stallone looking mightily embarrassed to be wearing the same ensemble.
THE TOMB is released some time next year. It stars Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jim Caviezel, Vinnie Jones, Vincent D’Onofrio, Sam Neill, and 50 Cent.
