If You Go Down To The Woods Today: ‘American Horror Story: Asylum’ First Teaser

The first teaser for season two of the horror show now known as AMERICAN HORROR STORY: ASYLUM has been released. It doesn’t show much, but it certainly teases. We see a hooded lady walking into the woods carrying two buckets. She throws the contents of one of the buckets before carrying on her journey. What’s in the bucket? It certainly looks fleshy and meaty and could even be a human body part. Why is she throwing meat around? Perhaps to lure some kind of monster into the woods? The first season was a fantastic ghost story that was almost every single horror film ever, rolled into one. It worked because of its creepy imagery and excellent performances. AMERICAN HORROR STORY: ASYLUM is said to be a completely different story, with perhaps a few actor overlaps (though they may play different characters).

I adored the first season and I love the sound of a second season with a separate story. This will hopefully entice more viewers, even if the first season wasn’t their kind of thing. It also makes it sound like an anthology show such as THE OUTER LIMITS, TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE or THE TWILIGHT ZONE, except it is a different story each season instead of each episode.

AMERICAN HORROR STORY: ASYLUM will begin airing in the US in October.
