One of the most anticipated horror films on the horizon is BOYS DON’T CRY director Kimberly Pierce’s remake of Brain DePalma’s classic chiller CARRIE. The original 1976 hit told of the torment faced by the telekinetic teen Carrie White, at the hands of fellow high-school students on prom night. Based on Stephen King’s best-selling book, which Peirce has promised will be her inspiration rather than a direct remake of DePalma’s effort, the new CARRIE has Chloe Moretz in the title role with Julianne Moore as her domineering and devoutly religious mother Margaret. We’re able to bring you the first official images from the film set for cinemas 12th April 2013, one that sees Carrie in a familiar ‘bloody’ position.
CARRIE will also co-star Judy Greer, Alex Russell, Gabriella Wilde, Portia Doubleday and Ansel Elgort in roles made famous by the likes of Betty Buckley, Nancy Allen, Amy Irving, John Travolta and William Katt.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
