Brand New Trailer For The Rather Strange ‘Butter’

After watching the trailer for BUTTER, I’m not sure whether to laugh or sigh (you’ll see what I mean when you watch it)…

Directed by Jim Field Smith (the man behind SHE’S OUT OF MY LEAGUE) BUTTER sees Jennifer Garner return to the silver screen as Laura Pickler, wife of butter carving champion Bob (the marvellous Ty Burrell). While looking a little like Sarah Palin (the film seems heavy in political puns), Laura decides that she wants her family to become butter carving legends. However, two things stand in her way – Bob’s affair with bedazzled hooker Brooke (Olivia Wilde) and new-to-the-scene sculpting star, Destiny (Yara Shahidi – SALT). Co-stars include Ashley Greene, Rob Corddry, Hugh Jackman and Alicia Silverstone.

With an ensemble cast as great as this one, I really want to like this film. I’m a little skeptical, but maybe this will be a surprise hit. Who knows?! BUTTER doesn’t currently have a scheduled UK release date, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens.
