Frequent Wes Anderson collaborator Roman Coppola makes his first feature directing effort (and second in total) in over a decade with A GLIMPSE INSIDE THE MIND OF CHARLES SWAN III. Mad man star (not the star of the acclaimed show, just generally a mad man) Charlie Sheen takes the title role in the story follows his playboy graphic designer, whose life spirals out of control and into despair following a break-up with his girlfriend. Rumours suggest Sheen prepared for the role by watching PLATOON, to see just how good he used to be, as well as going without pills, powder and prostitutes for the whole running time. He lasted 28 minutes apparently, which surely deserves a round of applause in itself!
In the meantime we have the first stills from the comedy that co-stars Bill Murray, Patricia Arquette, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Bar Paly, Aubrey Plaza and Jason Schwarzman. It should arrive in cinema later this year or early 2013.
