Graphic Poster For Horror Sequel ‘The Collection’

One of the most underrated horror films of recent times has to be Marcus Dunstan’s THE COLLECTOR, which he also co-wrote with his SAW sequel regular Patrick Melton. Perhaps many thought it too close to that ever yawn-some franchise. However, I felt the film deserved far more credit (easily more original and better of any of the SAW sequels), with an ingenious and clever plot all of its own. Josh Stewart too is an actor that has enough screen presence to make him a strong leading man (he recently featured as Bane’s sidekick in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES). Stewart lent his character vulnerability and conviction despite his flaws, all amongst the gore-filled carnage.

All three are set to return for the sequel ,THE COLLECTION, which is expected follow directly from the 2009 original, which ended with the sadistic serial-killer leaving with Stewart’s thief, captured in his van awaiting all manor of unspeakable horrors.

Below we have the grisly poster for the follow-up thriller expected later this year!

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.

Underrated? It’s was AWFUL! Boring, slow, not at all entertaining or interesting. Original doesn’t = Good.
