PARANORMAN himself, Kodi Smit-McPhee, has been added to the cast list of Matt Reeves’ DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES. The two had previously worked together on the rather dire remake, LET ME IN. Smit-McPhee joins Jason Clarke for the sequel to the exceptional RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES, but we are yet to have confirmation as to what their roles will entail. The film will be set 15 years after the last entry into the franchise, and will focus on a team of scientists trying to survive as a disease kills off the human race and apes rise.
DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES is set for release 23rd May 2014. It will star Jason Clarke, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Andy Sekis.
