Allen Hughes aptly-named political-thriller BROKEN CITY sees Russell Crowe’s powerful city Mayor Nicholas Hostetler secretly hire Mark Wahlberg’s ex-cop-turned-private detective, to unearth just who his wife, played by Catherine Zeta-Jones, is having an affair with. There seems to be more than meets the eye when Wahlberg’s Billy Taggett discovers even darker revelations and twists about those in the City Hall corridors of power.
Below we have the first stills (and one with a rather sinister-looking Crowe), from the nail-biter that also features a super supporting cast of Jeffrey Wright, Kyle Chandler, Griffin Dunne, Natalie Martinez and Barry Pepper.
BROKEN CITY will hit cinemas 25th January 2013.
