New Line Make Graphic Novel ‘Y: The Last Man’ Top Priority For The Big-Screen!

While the project looked close to development with D.J. Caruso directing and his regular collaborator Shia LaBeouf set to star before its collapse, fans of Brian K. Vaughn acclaimed graphic novel series Y: THE LAST MAN may finally get their wish to see an adaptation soon on the big-screen. New Line Cinema are now determined to put the project at the top of their list after being impressed with a new script by Matthew Federman and Stephen Scaia.

There is currently no director or star attached tell the story of young Yorick and his pet monkey Ampersand, who after a viral plague wipes out the whole population of Earth carrying a Y chromosome, makes him very unique to the female species and the planet in general, being ‘The Last Man’. It also poses the question, just why was Yorick and his pet the only ones the survive?

We’ll keep you informed of any future developments involving a director, casting and production.
