As that very informative headline says, principal photography has commenced on the third Todd Phillips helmed film in THE HANGOVER series, which is very cleverly named THE HANGOVER PART III. We all know that the main issue with the second film was that it was basically the same as the first, just set in a different location. Personally, I had a little bit of fun with the second outing, specifically with the cameos from Nick Cassavettes and Paul Giamatti, but boy oh boy, wouldn’t it have been fantastic if they’d continued with Mel Gibson in the Cassavettes role.
Anyway, THE HANGOVER PART III has an official synopsis, and goes a little something like this.
This time, there’s no wedding. No bachelor party. What could go wrong, right? But when the Wolfpack hits the road, all bets are off.
Yes, all bets are off. Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis and Justin Bartha return, as well as Ken Jeong, Heather Graham, Jeffrey Tambor, Gillian Vigman, Sasha Barrese and Jamie Chung. Also coming along this time is John Goodman who, and I don’t know if anyone else agrees me on this, looks like and older version of Galifianakis. Right?
THE HANGOVER PART III opens across the planet on 24th May, 2013. Phillips wrote the script with Craig Mazin.
