Earlier in the week, we brought you the first couple of clips and distribution news for BLUE VALENTINE director Derek Cianfrance’s follow-up feature THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES. The crime-thriller sees the director reunite with his male lead Ryan Gosling to tell the story of a man forced into a life of crime to support his family, and soon finds a determined cop (played by Bradley Cooper) hot on his trail.
The film premiered at this years Toronto International Film Festival to much acclaim – and now we’re able to bring you this first poster which showcases the reason Gosling’s character feels the need to turn to crime. You just know things are not going to turn out well…check it out!
The top supporting cast also includes Eva Mendes, Rose Byrne and Ray Liotta, along with ANIMAL KINGDOM and KILLING THEM SOFTLY scene-stealer Ben Mendelsohn. The film is expected early next year.
