KICK ASS 2 has started filming in Toronto, and that means camera happy set scouts are out in force. KICK ASS 2 continues the adventures of the in-over-his-head superhero, Kick Ass, and the recently orphaned Hit Girl. The pictures below give us a look at Chloe Moretz in partial costume, with her stunt double in full costume. We also see a first look at the Hit Cycle, as well as newcomer Morris Chestnut taking over the role of Sergeant Marcus Williams.
These images aren’t much to go on, but the film still has me being very optimistic. After Matthew Vaughan gave up the director’s chair to follow-up his other super-hero franchise, I thought KICK ASS 2 would languish in development hell. Luckily the majority of the cast is returning, but hopefully it will deviate from the comic, as that was a bit too violent and shocking for shocking’s sake.
KICK ASS 2 is released 19th July 2013. It stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Chloe Grace Moretz, Nicolas Cage, Donald Faison, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, John Leguizamo, and Jim Carrey.
