The second full length trailer for Ang Lee’s astonishing looking adaptation of LIFE OF PI has arrived. It’s pretty much the same as the international trailer. The trailer shows more beautiful scenery and stunning effects which rely on the human imagination to truly bring them to life, and that can only be a positive. If this doesn’t make my Top 5 of the year then I’ll be very surprised. The trailer alone is better than 90% of stuff I’ve seen this year. The book is an amazing piece of literature, and I recommend that everyone reads it before seeing the film, as I think these are two distinct pieces that will compliment each other significantly.
LIFE OF PI is released in the UK 21st December 2012. It stars Suraj Sharma, Rafe Spall, Irrfan Khan, and Gérard Depardieu.
