Daniel Radcliffe Looking Into Sci-Fi Adaptation Of ‘Frankenstein’

Daniel Radcliffe is reportedly looking into taking on a role in an adaptation of Mary Shelley’s FRANKENSTEIN at 20th Century Fox. The film was originally to be directed by REAL STEEL’s Shawn Levy but after he left the project it is reported that LUCKY NUMBER SLEVIN director Paul McGuigan has signed to take the helm. This adaptation would be more science fiction, and involve growing a human from scratch, rather than assembling a monster from bits and pieces of the dead. The script is from CHRONICLE writer Max Landis.

Even though the script is yet to be finished and casting is yet to begin, if Radcliffe really is interested then I’m sure that will ignite production. Radcliffe is reported to be interested in the role of Hunchback, a pathologically dirty man in old clown clothes. I’d love to see Radcliffe as a sort of Igor character. This isn’t the only FRANKENSTEIN movie set for the future, as there is also I, FRANKENSTEIN starring Aaron Eckhart.
