Adele Confirmed For Skyfall Theme Song, And We Suggest Lyrics

Updated! We have a preview of the actual track at the bottom of the article!!!

Adele has Tweeted a photo which confirms her as the artist behind the new Bond theme.

It says so little and yet so much, namely that Adele (the A. Adkins in question) has written the song along with Paul Epworth, who co-wrote her best song, Rollin’ in the Deep. This points in the direction of a bloody good theme tune, and comes hot off the fantastic stills, video blog and banner for Ben Whishaw’s Q we got earlier today, which can be seen here.

The PR machine is on full throttle at the moment, like an underwater Lotus Esprit or something else mechanical associated with Bond. The sky is very near to falling on us and this doesn’t give Adele much time to perfect her song. So here are some lyrics she might want to nab, courtesy of us at THN:

Come on, get your kit off, James.
Give us all an eye full.
Blimey, what a whopper, James!
Something something Skyfall.

Whisk me off to Paris, James.
Let’s see that tower, Eiffel.
Don’t be so bloody racist, James.
Something something Skyfall.

Come and buy me dinner, James.
For desert I’ll have a trifle.
Stop shooting all the waiters, James!
Something something Skyfall.

Look, this isn’t working, James.
Put down that bloody rifle!
Preferred you when you were Roger Moore.
Something Something Skyfall.

SKYFALL is directed by Oscar-winner Sam Mendes and stars Daniel Craig as James Bond 007, Javier Bardem, Naomie Harris Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes, Helen McCrory, Bérénice Marlohe and Albert Finney. It arrives in cinemas 26th October

This track can be pre-ordered right here!
