I’ve not been feeling my best recently, and until this very morning I had no idea as to why. Then I saw this piece of news appear on my news aggregator and the penny dropped. It’s been a month since I last saw THE EXPENDABLES 2 and I’ve not had had a fix of Jason Staham since then. The news of a new project on the horizon suddenly woke me from this frenzy of Stath withdrawal as PARKER is all set to debut in the early part of 2013.
Here’s the plot. Yes, there is one. Not that it matters.
When Parker turns down a job offer to pull off a jewel heist, he narrowly escapes with his life. He then teams up with a female real estate agent who is familiar with the local town and has nothing to lose to find the target of the heist so they can steal the loot for themselves.
Stath plays Parker, while Jennifer Lopez plays the estate agent. This one lands in the UK on the 25th January 2013, and the US on the same day. Nick Nolte also stars (awesome) and Taylor Hackford directs the film, which is actually based on a novel of the same name by Donald E. Westlake.
