Somewhere in Hollywood a man in his mid-late twenties was put in charge of commissioning films. Unable to think of anything original he raided his loft for old toys and games and this is what he came up with. HUNGRY HUNGRY HIPPOS, MONOPOLY, and ACTION MAN are all getting the go ahead as genuine films that exist in our reality. The three films will be produced and financed by Emmett/Furla Films. MONOPOLY has been in development for years and Ridley Scott’s name was attached for a long time. It’s doubtful he will direct, but he will still produce.
Obviously ACTION MAN isn’t too much of a stretch as we saw from those videos back in the day starring the Gladiator Trojan. Maybe he can reprise the role. In this economic climate MONOPOLY could be an interesting take on a property tycoon that soon finds himself bankrupt and going to jail. But that leaves us with HUNGRY HUNGRY HIPPOS. Now I still have hope. This could be a gruesome, disgusting, display of B-movie violence, where these genetically altered colourful hippos terrorise small African villages. But I’m guessing it will be some crappy CGI animated comedy about how obesity and overeating are OK.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
