Listen To Adele’s ‘Skyfall’ Theme. If You Can Stay Awake

It was not long ago that Adele was confirmed to be singing the theme to the new Bond movie SKYFALL, and here it is. Adele co-wrote the song with her Rolling In The Deep producer/collaborator Paul Epworth. Adele has had a rather successful year as her album ’21’ overtook Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ and Pink Floyd’s ‘Dark Side Of The Moon’ in the biggest selling albums of all time in the UK. Heaven knows why or how.

SKYFALL isn’t exactly a groundbreaking song, nor is that interesting. I’m no fan of Adele, but these vocals sound very lazy and the lyrics aren’t exactly inspired. Hopefully the visuals during the usually brilliant credit sequences will make up for it. Give me Shirley Bassey any day of the week.

SKYFALL is released 25th October 2012. It stars Daniel Craig, Javier Bardem, Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, Helen McCrory, Naomie Harris, and Albert Finney.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.

    I really like this.
Until we actually get to see the film we won’t know how well it fits, but I like the subtlety of it.
