Win! LCD Soundsystem’s ‘Shut Up And Play The Hits’ On DVD! **COMPETITION CLOSED**

“If it’s a funeral…Let’s have the best funeral ever…”

On 2nd April 2011, LCD SOUNDSYSTEM played their final show at Madison Square Garden. LCD frontman James Murphy made the conscious decision to disband one of the most celebrated and influential bands of its generation at the peak of its popularity, ensuring that the band would go out on top with the biggest and most ambitious concert of its career. The instantly sold out, near four-hour extravaganza did just that, moving the thousands in attendance to tears of joy and grief, with NEW YORK magazine calling the event “a marvel of pure craft” and TIME magazine lamenting “we may never dance again.” The gig saw LCD supported by post-punk group LIQUID LIQUID as well as a handful of special guests including THE JUAN MACLEAN and members of ARCADE FIRE and HOT CHIP.

Now we’re offering you the chance to relive the experience – by winning a copy of the film on DVD! The DVD & Blu-Ray of SHUT UP AND PLAY THE HITS, directed by Will Lovelace and Dylan Southern, with additional camerawork by SPIKE JONZE and LANCE BANGS, will be available to buy from iTunes on 1 October but will be widely available from 8th October.

The 3-disc boxset includes not only the film, which recently had its European premiere at the Hackney Picturehouse in September, but  also the full length footage of the band’s last ever concert at Madison Square Garden.
