TWILIGHT’s leading man Robert Pattinson has signed on to join DRIVE star Carey Mulligan in new crime thriller HOLD ON TO ME, which was previously titled NANCY AND DANNY. Set to take up the director’s chair is James Marsh, the filmmaker behind the highly-acclaimed documentary MAN ON WIRE.
The plot is based on a true story set in a small town, where Mulligan will play a money hungry woman whose life didn’t quite turn out the way she wanted. She then proceeds to manipulate one unfortunate (but very wealthy) man in order to snag her high school crush, played by Pattinson. The plan then is to bury her victim in a box and hold him for ransom; though, as expected, things don’t quite turn out as hoped.
Brad Inglesby wrote the screenplay with Alexandra Milchan, Steven Rales, Mark Roybal and Todd Field all set to produce. The thriller is being developed by Indian Paintbrush and it is likely that the filmmakers will be seeking buyers at the American Film Market.
But if you can’t wait that long to see more of Robert Pattinson you can catch him as brooding vampire Edward Cullen when THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN PART 2 hits cinema screens on November 16th.
