Tobey Maguire almost completely disappeared after jazz dancing his way out of SPIDER-MAN 3 back in 2007. He was in the remake of Danish film BROTHERS along with Jake Gyllenhaal and Natalie Portman in 2009, but apart from that he’s been really quiet. Not for much longer though as he has both Baz Luhrmann’s THE GREAT GATSBY as well as Jason Reitman’s next film LABOR DAY coming out next year. Before that though, he’s starring in the film THE DETAILS that premiered at the 2011 Sundance and was picked up by The Weinstein Company for distribution. The official synopsis for the film that also stars Elizabeth Banks, Laura Linney, and Ray Liotta is as follows:
When hungry raccoons discover worms living under the sod in a young couple’s backyard, the pest problem sets off a wild and absurd chain reaction of domestic tension, infidelity, organ donation and murder by way of bow and arrow.
Wow! That escalated quickly! Now the film has a gotten a stylish new poster and I must say, I like it a lot. It’s weird and quirky just like the film’s plot sounds like and it’s always nice to see something different than a randomly photoshopped picture of the cast. Check it out below:
THE DETAILS is directed by Jacob Aaron Estes and stars Tobey Maguire, Elizabeth Banks, Laura Linney, Ray Liotta, Dennis Haysbert and Kerry Washington. It does not have a UK release date at this point.
