Mark Bomback To Rewrite ‘Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes’

At the beginning of this month it was reported that Matt Reeves had taken over directorial duties on RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES sequel, DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES after Rupert Wyatt left the franchise. Now we’re hearing word that screenwriter of the upcoming superhero motion picture THE WOLVERINE, Mark Bomback, is being brought in to do a few rewrites on the script.

The script looked set to go as it was penned by writers of the original, Amanda Silver and Rick Jaffa. But I guess since Matt Reeves came on board he has a few tweaks and changes to make here and there. We shouldn’t get too worried at this point, as Mark Bomback did some uncredited rewrites on RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES. Andy Serkis is set to return for the sequel.

DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES is scheduled for 22nd May 2014.
