‘Oldboy’ Remake Gets A Release Date

I’m not one of those people who hate on remakes just for the fact that they’re remakes…I mean, sure, a lot of them suck big time, but there are some who actually turn out good.

Now, the OLDBOY remake is a sore subject for fans of the original as they hail it as a film that would never be as raw and confrontational as the original. Personally I think the talent both in front and behind the camera could turn this into a potentially very good film. How good it will end up, we will still have to wait and see, we however now know roughly when we’re going to find out. The film is set to be released (at least in the US) on 11th October 2013.

OLDBOY is directed by Spike Lee. The film stars Josh Brolin, Sharlto Copley, Samuel L. Jackson, and Elizabeth Olsen. It will arrive in the US on 11th October 2013, it is unclear exactly when it will arrive in UK cinemas.

Esben Evans is the Danish contingent on this site. He enjoys films, swearing a lot, and a nice pair of slacks.
