‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ First TV Spot

Ironically, Bilbo Baggins’ adventure has been expected for quite some time, considering it’s a prequel to the successful franchise LORD OF THE RINGS. Based on a book by JRR Tolkien, the film will follow Master Baggins on a quest with a bunch of Dwarves as they go to reclaim their land from the dragon Smaug. The first TV Spot has been released, which doesn’t show a lot of (if any) new footage for us to enjoy. My favourite part was listening to the trailer voice-over guy speaking as fast as he could to fit in all the information about ticket sales and release dates. I wonder if he gets paid extra for that.

THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY is released 14th December 2012. It stars Martin Freeman, Ian McKellen, Benedict Cumberbatch, Andy Serkis, Luke Evans, Evangeline Lilly, Elijah Wood, Hugo Weaving, Cate Blanchett, Richard Armitage, Orlando Bloom, Christopher Lee, Aiden Turner, Ian Holm, Billy Connolly, and Lee Pace.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
