Production recently wrapped on SPACE STATION 76, an under-the-radar sci-fi dramedy starring Liv Tyler, Patrick Wilson and Matt Bomer. The film, written and directed by acting coach and part-time actor Jack Plotnick, is set in a in a 1970s version of the future. Tyler’s new assistant captain clashes with the crew of a space station under the command of Wilson’s emotionally unbalanced captain. Little else is known about the premise other than that Bomer plays a married member of the crew who has a robotic hand.
Originally envisioned as a stage production, Plotnick sent early drafts of the script to both Tyler and Wilson. After a quick 20-day shoot, Plotnick still has a long road ahead of him involving post-production visual and sound effects. Rival Pictures will release the indie in addition to Om Films.
As of yet, no official release date has been announced.
