Some of the stars of the eagerly awaited sequel to RED were spotted filming in London and Paris recently. For the sequel, RED 2, it seems that a lot of the familiar faces of the first film are back including Bruce Willis and Helen Mirren. But it seems that joining them are Catherine Zeta-Zones, Anthony Hopkins and David Thewlis who have all been spotted on set shooting for their parts.
Although the plot seems to be being kept pretty secret, it seems that the group of retired CIA are teamed back together with some new friends to take on enemies in Europe.
This film is based on an original premise, unlike the first film where parts were based on Warren Ellis and Cully Hamner’s comic. RED 2 is to be directed by Dean Parisot and is scheduled to be released on 2nd August 2013.
