Gemma Arterton Considered For ‘Robopocalypse’ & Set For ‘The Pre-Nup’

Gemma Arterton may currently be suffering from some inevitable post-Bond girl blues. It’s only natural after the next bit of hot totty is paraded around Mr. Craig and you become just another notch on the secret agent’s imaginary bedpost. We’ve all been there. But never fear Miss Arterton, for newer and brighter pastures await. First up is THE PRE-NUP, a romantic comedy where a man asks his fiancee for a pre-nup the night before their wedding, at the request of the grooms rock-star father. The film is to be directed by Jonathan Lynn and will co-star Hugh Bonneville of DOWNTON ABBEY fame.

Next up are reports that Arterton is being considered for a role in Steven Spielberg’s ROBOPOCALYPSE. The sci-fi blockbuster will reportedly star Chris Hemsworth and Ben Whishaw, and there were also rumours that Anne Hathaway was being considered for the lead female role. Could it be that Arterton will step into the shoes of the heroine, or could it be that there will be two lead female roles in a summer blockbuster? No, probably not. That’s just crazy talk.

Based on the popular book by Daniel H. Wilson and scripted by CABIN IN THE WOODS writer Drew Goddard, ROBOPOCALYPSE is hopefully going to contain smarts as well as entertainment.
