After the Oscar-winning war drama THE HURT LOCKER, perhaps there was nobody better to tackle the decade-long hunt for the worlds most wanted terrorist than director Kathryn Bigelow. Familiar for her more action-packed efforts, POINT BREAK, BLUE STEEL and acclaimed vampire thriller NEAR DARK, Bigelow surprised many (including former husband James Cameron) when she beat off stiff opposition for Best Picture and Best Director at the 2010 Academy Awards.
Now we’ll soon see an all-star cast depict the notorious events that led up to the killing of Osama bin Laden and here we have the third and best poster yet for the film that will have a limited theatrical run on the 19th December in the US, before a wide release 11th January 2013. We here in the UK have a further couple of weeks to wait with a date set for the 25th January 2013.
