No Leather Suits For ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’ Promises Singer

Bryan Singer has taken to Twitter to give us a brief snippet of information regarding the costumes in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. Teh director, who helmed the first X-MEN film back in 2000, faced criticism on the internet at the time of release for going for black leather suits instead of yellow and blue as worn in the comics. The character of Cyclops (James Marsden) even quipped “What would you prefer, yellow spandex?” after Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) questioned their get-up.

Singer tweeted:

For those of you wondering…no leather suits.

X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST is based on one of the comic’s most famous stories, which will include time-travel, alternate dimensions, and giant robots The Sentinels out and hunting down mutants. Matthew Vaughan left the project as a director, but has stayed on as producer.

X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST will be released 18th July 2014. It stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, and Jennifer Lawrence.
