US DVD & Blu-Ray – New Release Tuesday

It’s the second day of the week, and by far the best. Yep, it’s home entertainment Tuesday!

Following the meandering mess that was THE EXPENDABLES, the more coherent sequel smashes it’s way onto Blu-Ray and DVD today. Starring every action-man from the last twenty years THE EXPENDABLES 2 will add something explosive to your day.

Mr. Church reunites the Expendables for what should be an easy paycheck, but when one of their men is murdered on the job, their quest for revenge puts them deep in enemy territory and up against an unexpected threat.

Released to coincide with QT’s 20 year anniversary as a filmmaker, XX is the must have box set of the year. Featuring  his seven directorial efforts: PULP FICTION, RESERVOIR DOGS, DEATH PROOF, INGLORIOUS BASTERDS, KILL BILL VOL. 1, KILL BILL VOL. 2, JACKIE BROWN, along with the Tarantino scribed TRUE ROMANCE.

Given the sparsity of big releases this week – and their adult content warnings – it seems only correct to end on a family note. SANTA PAWS 2: THE SANTA PUPS. The pups need to save christmas for everyone around the world. Be prepared for a RUFF ride and enough christmas spirit for the whole family.

An all-new Disney holiday classic is born — Santa Paws 1: The Santa Pups Starring a brand-new litter of the cutest talking pups ever — Hope, Jingle, Charity and Noble — it’s perfect for the whole family. When Mrs. Claus travels to Pineville, the playful Santa Pups stow away on her sled. Taking mischief to a whole new level, they begin granting joyful wishes to Pineville’s boys and girls, but something goes terribly wrong — the Christmas spirit begins to disappear. Now the Santa Pups and Mrs. Claus must race to save Christmas around the world. From the creators of Disney Buddies, this magical, heartwarming tale is brimming with hope, cheer and Christmas spirit.

Keep it THN each and every Tuesday for the newest releases.

Sam is a bloody lovely lad born and raised in Bristol (he’s still there and can’t escape). Favourite films include THE LOST BOYS, DRIVE, FIGHT CLUB and COMMANDO, well pretty much any 1980s Arnie film you can throw his way…even RED SONJA. Sam once cancelled a Total Film subscription after they slagged off Teen Wolf. He resubscribed 2 days later.
