Early Concept Art Released For ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Bane!

With the upcoming DVD/Blu-ray release of Christopher Nolan’s epic Batman conclusion THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, this past week we’ve unearthed a treasure trove of unused and alternative artwork and posters which will no doubt appear amongst the special features. If Nolan’s finale of the greatest comic-book trilogy of all-time isn’t on your Christmas list, then that TWILIGHT SAGA box-set will be well worn out and those game-consoles are going to be hammered to hell with whatever game is in vogue come Santa’s visit.

Now we can show you some very different looks for Bane’s (Tom Hardy) rasping mask, which obviously underwent a number of redesigns during pre-production, before settling on the intimidating, face-hugging, life-saving and pain-relieving accessory we eventually got. What are your thoughts?

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES will be released on DVD/Blu-ray from the 4th December.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
