Fascinating 15 Minute New Post-Production Video For ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’

Director Peter Jackson is one of the few filmmakers who likes to keep his fans constantly up to date with all aspects of the ‘making-of‘ process, especially one that involves J.R.R Tolkien’s world of Middle-earth. THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY is the first of Jackson’s new trilogy that reunites many of his actors and characters from his LORD OF THE RINGS adventures. Martin Freeman takes the title role of the eventful and younger Bilbo Baggins, the hairy-footed hero destined for greater things outside The Shire in the prequel to the groundbreaking Oscar-winning fantasy trio.

We have the latest production video giving us an insight at just what stage Jackson and editors, along with his team of visual-effects supervisors are now at. It comes with a first look at some all-new footage as well, take a look!

THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY will burst onto cinema screens from 13th December and co-stars Ian McKellen, Cate Blanchett, James Nesbitt, Richard Armitage, Ian Holm, Elijah Wood, Andy Serkis, Benedict Cumberbatch and Lee Pace.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
