Joel Silver is set to return to the action genre (did he ever go away) for a new film called STRAIGHT EDGE. The planned film is a spec script penned by xXx writer Rich Wilkes, and has just been snapped up by Silver’s Silver Pictures, and people around town are comparing it to bygone classics like 48 HOURS and LETHAL WEAPON.
The story, according to The Hollywood Reporter, is set around a failed heist in Los Angeles.
Alex Heineman and Andrew Rona will produce, along with Silver himself with the bearded one currently searching for a director to helm.
