It’s a big day if you’re a fan of all things Peter Jackson, and in particular, a fan of THE HOBBIT, as the first in a new trilogy of movies, THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY premieres in Wellington, New Zealand. The action will kick off at around 6:50 pm Pacific Standard Time, which I make around 3.50am UK time; so a bit of a long night ahead.
All of the cast and Jackson himself will be there, and Crowded House frontman Neil Finn will even perform “Song of the Lonely Mountain,” which is featured in the film itself. Wow.

The film opens in the UK on 13th December 2012, and the US and Canada the following day. Expect a full THN review very soon.
