Guy Pearce and Rosamund Pike are set to star in a new Australian-based drama named VIOLET TOWN. The film will be directed by Mark Joffe and is an adaptation of Steven Carroll’s novel THE ART OF THE ENGINE DRIVER. Set in 1957, the story follows a couple who attend a New Year’s Eve party where buried secrets are revealed. Bryan Brown (COCKTAIL, AUSTRALIA) is also attached to the project.
The film will not arrive for a while though, as it starts production from the ‘third-quarter’ of 2013.
