We know that the trailer isn’t far away – attaching itself to THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY screenings – but this morning we’re very excited to see the first teaser poster for JJ Abrams STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS from Paramount.
A lot of people have already noted the similarity between this and that THE DARK KNIGHT RISES bat-symbol buildings collapsing one, but nevertheless, it still looks pretty awesome with Kirk (or someone else?) taking centre stage on the rubble. The official synopsis is:
After the crew of the Enterprise find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction.
STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Alice Eve, and Benedict Cumberbatch. It opens in the UK and USA on 17th May, 2013.
