Eerie Reflective International Poster For ‘Stoker’

OLDBOY director Chan-wook Park’s English-language debut comes in the equally twisted STOKER. The dark, brooding thriller features rising young actress Mia Wasikowska as India, who in the wake of fathers death finds solace in the recently arrived Uncle Charlie (Matthew Goode), who she never knew existed. However, it soon becomes apparent this mysterious, charming long-lost relative has ulterior motives as he takes a obsessive shine to India and her unstable mother (Nicole Kidman).

The trailer, which arrived a month or so ago, suggested a film with a fascinating demented edge along with some beautifully designed promo artwork. Now we have yet another mysterious and unsettling international poster which is in keeping with the tone thus far.

STOKER arrives in cinemas on the 1st March and co-stars Dermot Mulroney, Jackie Weaver, Lucas Till, Alden Ehrenreich and Ralph Brown. One surprising aspect comes with the fact; PRISON BREAK and RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE actor Wentworth Miller wrote the screenplay.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
