A project that seemed doomed from the outset, Disney’s remake of the classic all-American icon, THE LONE RANGER, is going to have to be a huge hit if it’s to be tagged a success. Many are expecting a failure of JOHN CARTER proportions due an escalating budget and a number of problems behind-the-scenes. Add to the sad fact, many see the western genre a thing of the past.
Armie Hammer takes the lead as John Reid, the masked lawman, who along with his Native American sidekick Tonto (Johnny Depp), carry out justice on those not willing to keep on the right side of the law. We’ve previously had a teaser trailer but we’re able to bring you the first full trailer for the action-adventure slated for cinemas in the US on the 3rd July 2013 and the UK on the 9th August. PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN’s Gore Verbinski directs.
THE LONE RANGER co-stars Helena Bonham Carter, Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner, James Frain, Ruth Wilson and Barry Pepper.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
