Terrence Malick’s ‘To The Wonder’ Trailer Debuts

Whether you think Terrence Malick has created some brilliant movies over the course of his meagre career or a whole lot of misjudged pretentious bollocks, there is no denying he’s still a mystery to the world of cinema. Recent years have seen him more prolific than ever and 2013 will see the release of more films (four) than the last 30-plus years in total.

The first of those released will be whimsical-looking romantic-drama TO THE WONDER, which stars Olga Kurylenko as smitten Marina, who travels to Oklahoma with her beloved Neil (played by Ben Affleck) for a fresh start. Here we have the first trailer for the film co-starring Javier Bardem and Rachel McAdams.

TO THE WONDER will arrive in UK cinemas on the 22nd February 2013, with the US having to wait until the 12th April.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.

    I tried Tree of Life.

I was bored as fuckery. I tried to understand the arty side and I DO understand the idea but, my Gad, it was hard work.
