ANCHORMAN: THE LEGEND CONTINUES has officially been put forward for a 20th December release next year! We’ve already had the pleasure of two teaser trailers over the summer but a release date hadn’t been given as of yet…until now!
Adam McKay, the man behind the script/camera for the first installment THE LEGEND OF RON BURGUNDY (as well as other Will Ferrell smashes STEP BROTHERS and TALLADEGA NIGHTS: THE BALLAD OF RICKY BOBBY) will once again be in the chair and behind the typewriter for this eagerly awaited sequel. Kristen Wiig has also been confirmed to join the original Channel 4 News Team of Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd and David Koechner. The script is still in the capable hands of McKay and Ferrell, but it is pretty safe to say that most here at THN will be salivating in expectation for the follow-up to quite possibly one of the most quotable movies of all time.
