First Still Released For Edgar Wright’s ‘The World’s End’!

Although today may not have ended with a fiery ball hitting the Earth/a worldwide drought/a zombie apocalypse (my worst nightmare) (yet!), it does mark the beginning of the end of Edgar Wright’s ‘Cornetto Trilogy’, with the release of the first official still from THE WORLD’S END.

Starring Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Martin Freeman, Eddie Marsan and Paddy Considine, the film follows the group as they decide to go on the pub crawl to end all pub crawls. When Gary King (Pegg) contacts his old childhood friends, he persuades them all to go on a bit of a binge, with them attempting to get into the famous pub The World’s End. But when they realise that the future of humankind lands in their laps, they’ll be thinking about more than who’s getting the next round in!

Although the still doesn’t give much away, it does show-off Pegg’s goth alter-ego. I, like many, can’t wait!

THE WORLD’S END, directed by Edgar Wright, will hit UK cinemas on 14th August 2013, while the US will have to wait until 25th October.

Considering Jazmine grew up watching CARRY ON SCREAMING, THE LION KING and JURASSIC PARK on repeat for weeks on end, it made sense for her to study film at London South Bank University. It’s also a good thing that her course requires a lot of sitting down because she’s very accident-prone. When she’s not examining her bruises, she likes pretending that she doesn’t live in Southend-On-Sea and spends hours mindlessly blogging. Favourite films include BLUE VALENTINE, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND and TOY STORY 2.
