Christopher Nolan May Plan On Going ‘Interstellar’

nolan640After having finished his superhero trilogy last year, it’s now time for Christopher Nolan to start thinking about the future. And what better way to think about the future than to consider a sci-fi film as his next directorial effort. INTERSTELLAR will involve time-travel and wormholes, and is based on the writings and theories of Kip S. Thorne, a physicist and expert on relativity at Caltech. Steven Spielberg was previously attached the project but he decided to go with ROBOPOCALYPSE, a film he has now departed over script and time-constraint concerns.

Christopher Nolan’s brother, Jonathan Nolan will handle script duties, and the film is being set-up as a co-production through both Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros. With Thorne’s theories suggesting that wormholes do exist and can be used for time-travel, this sounds like a new area for Nolan to explore. I wasn’t a fan of either of Nolan’s previous films, but all of his other work had me gripped, so I’m really hoping to be transported into a fascinating world once again.
