Reinvented action-man Liam Neeson has now signed up for more thrills alongside his UKNOWN director Jaume Collet-Serra, for the hitman project RUN ALL NIGHT. Neeson – who most recently returned as ass-kicking parent Bryan Mills in October’s hit sequel TAKEN 2 – will be taking on the role of a mob hitman, forced to take on his former boss and his goons in a single night, in an effort to protect his estranged son and family.

The duo have also recently worked together on high-flying action-thriller NON-STOP, with Neeson as a disillusioned sky marshall forced into action when he receives a text from someone claiming they’ll begin killing those onboard, unless he directs authorities to transfer millions into a bank account. The film co-stars Julianne Moore, Scoot McNairy, Bar Paly, Michelle Dockery, Corey Stoll, Anson Mount and Nate Parker. NON-STOP is still awaiting a release for later in the year, but you can check out the recent first official image here.

We’ll keep you posted as RUN ALL NIGHT develops.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
