Park Chan-wook’s ‘Stoker’ Reveals New Trailer & Clip

OLDBOY director Park Chan-wook makes his English-language debut with this fascinating-looking murderous thriller, uniting rising starlet Mia Wasikowska with Matthew Goode, Nicole Kidman, Dermot Mulroney, Jacki Weaver, Alden Ehrenreich and Lucas Till.

STOKER sees India’s (Wasikowska) father die in a tragic car accident and soon her mysterious Uncle Charlie (Goode), who she never knew existed, turns up to live with her and her unstable mother (Kidman). Soon after his arrival, she comes to suspect this charming man has ulterior motives but for some reason, despite something sinister gnawing away at her, India becomes infatuated with him.

Check out this first clip and international trailer for the film set for release in the UK and US on the 1st March.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
