If any man deserves the ‘Best Attendance’ accolade for appearing at award shows over the last 15 years (but, somehow, not winning anything), it’s Leonardo DiCaprio. With two films coming out over the next year, it also seems that DiCaprio wants a break – and a rather long one at that.
While out promoting DJANGO UNCHAINED, DiCaprio took the time to explain what he means by ‘taking a break’:
“I am a bit drained. I’m now going to take a long, long break. I’ve done three films in two years and I’m just worn out. I would like to improve the world a bit. I will fly around the world doing good for the environment.”
It’s no surprise really. DiCaprio’s next films – THE GREAT GATSBY and THE WOLF OF WALL STREET – are both scheduled for release this summer. Let’s also not forget his production company, Appian Way, which has at least three films coming out over the course of the next year (OUT OF THE FURNACE, RUNNER RUNNER and THE WOLF OF WALL STREET, directed by long-time friend and mentor Martin Scorsese).
Put your feet up, Leo! You deserve a break.
